The Lord Nelson is set right in the heart of Oakamoor which itself is situated within the picturesque Churnet Valley. We are also located very close to Alton Towers theme park so what better place to come in and have a drink on the way back. The pub is a traditional family run business offering everyone a very warm welcome from tourists and travellers through to the locals from within the village itself.

Our pub offers real ales, hot and cold drinks, traditional cooking along with a very cosy and friendly environment. Oakamoor village is set in the heart of some of the most beautiful scenary within the midlands which is known as the Churnet Valley.The pub itself was originally used as a surgery but over the years it has served as a pub. Our Family have recently moved in and given the pub more life and made changes for the better. We hope to see you visitng our pub soon.

There are two bars within the pub, the first main bar is located at the top end of the pub. This is a traditional family style area where it has a very cosy and friendly atmosphere. There is a dart board, traditional fire place and televison at this top bar. Dogs are also welcome.

Our Nelson restaurant is decorated within a traditional country style which makes it a gorgeous and cosy area for our patrons to dine. There is seating here for about 30 people and we offer a full range of cooking, for all the information on our menu please click here

The front beer garden is situated in a lovely position with gorgeous views of the surrounding area. we have benches within the garden and outside the front of the pub so there is a large amount of seating. This beer garden is perfect in the summer days as it catches all the sun for the whole day.
